Gelish nails review!
Hey guys, Clodagh here!
I'm sorry I've been gone so long, it feels like it's been ages since I've sat down and wrote a blog post!
So I haven't had internet for the past few weeks. so that's why I've been MIA!
Anyway, as some of you may know, we had our formal on Tuesday. To mark the occasion, I ventured into the magical land of gel nail polishes and honey-I'm never going back.
Let us get something out in the open.
I, a beauty blogger, SUCK AT NAILS.
I can't paint them.
I can't do upkeep.
I have them smudged within five minutes, I chip them within the day, even when being really careful.
I'm really harsh on nails, and we have a no nail polish rule at our school, so I just don't bother.
That picture above? That was taken on Sunday. The nails were put on the previous Monday. No chips, no smudges, no lumps or bumps. They're as perfect as the day they were put on. They dry instantly, which is handy, so no waiting around for twenty minutes at a nail salon. They are perfect for people that can't keep nail polish on for a day, like me. It's a bit pricer than getting normal nail polish on,(I got it as part of a deal, but at the same day spa it costs £20.50, and £3 for glitter) but it's completely worth it, in my opinion. Not the sort of thing you top up every two weeks, but it's great for occasions. I would definitely get gel nails again. I'm so in love with them, I'm refusing to take them off when teachers ask.
Incase you're wondering, the colours I got were 'A Mint of Spring' with 'June Bride' on my ring finger on each hand. (Thanks for the idea, Pinterest!) The girls at the spa loved it so much they were suggesting it to other people! Trendsetter? Moi? It would appear so!
So, let me know-have you ever tried gel nails? What did you think?
Peace, Love and cupcakes,
Clodagh xx

Romantic Valentines Day Makeup-Using The Naked 3 Palette
Face
First prep and prime with your normal products which cater to your skin needs.
Then I recommend you take a lightweight dewy foundation just to give your skin that beautiful glow, my favourite is the Bourjois healthy mix and buff all over the skin with a brush or sponge.
Conceal any imperfections with your favourite concealer and seal the deal with powder.
Bronze your face to warm your complexion and to add definition by contouring but you can skip this if you want to keep it simple.
Then pop a hint of colour of blush just above the apples of your cheeks to give the appearance of healthy skin.
Don't forget to fill in those brows.
Eyes
The naked 3 palette is absolutely beautiful and you can expect a detailed review up shortly, the rose golds make it perfect for valentines day.
First prime your lids this helps colours appear brighter and last longer. Its a must!
Then take the colour buzz and apply it all over the lid up to the crease.
Then take nooner a nice matte shade and blend through the crease.
Apply generous amounts of your favourite mascara mine is maybelline the rocket.
To finish the look apply a pink lipstick e.g oxford fuschia by Rimmel and your done!

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation Review
Hey guys sorry its been a while, unfortunately we will no longer be following a schedule, we do promise to keep updating regularly but our blog and youtube was feeling more of a chore in our already busy lives and we weren't experiencing the fun and enjoyment from it that we intended. But let's move onto what you really want to see which is the review.
The Positives
The packaging is great its a glass bottle with a pump (what more could you ask for?)
The fantastic shade range ( for pale girls like me you won't struggle to find a shade I assure you)
The price ( it currently retails for £8.99 on the boots website which Is very reasonable for a foundation)
The Negatives
It broke me out like a bitch! ( pardon my language but my face turned into spot city after wearing this for only two days and with an important event only days away I'm not one bit happy. I've had similarly problems with rimmel foundations in the past so ill stay clear from them in the future)
It's cakes! (I have dry skin and I most definitely do not need a foundation highlighting this to the rest of the world this clings to your dry patches like noting ordinary)
The coverage is not as good as I would like. ( I'd say it has a light to medium coverage I personally prefer a medium buildable foundation)
Lasting power is average not great not terrible. I'm still at school that means I have my makeup on from 7 in the morning to 5 in the evening yes I know that's a tall order put this foundation seemed to disappear from my chin and nose before midday and yet in other places it was fine. Weird!
Other points to note
This foundation contains glitter for some it has no visible effect and for others it's like your face is a glitter ball I personally had no problems yes there was glitter but it wasnt noticeable, so remember to consider this.
So there you have my very honest review of the wake me up foundation I may give it another chance in the future if my skin becomes less sensitive to break outs as I hate wasting product but sadly I don't think it's for me. -Geraldine

Clodagh's guide to happiness!
Right, here it is, Clodagh’s guide to happiness! This is
unedited, so it's probably all over the place. But here are my tips, tricks,
ideas and thoughts that are tried and tested methods of being happy!
Disclaimer/note-These are things that I do, or I suggest my
friends do. It works on me and them, but there may be some you want to change
slightly to adapt to you, or something.
Right, shall we crack on then?
Tip number one-Make a list of all the things that you are
good at. It can be anything, from touching your nose with your tongue, to
making a cracking cup of tea, or painting like Degas, whatever you're good at.
Then when you're feeling sad- read it! Instant happiness.
Tip number two-drink tea. Or milk, or coffee, or hot
chocolate. Something warm, it makes you feel cozy, and cozy=happy.
Tip three-accept what is wrong with your life. Accept the
bad things, and then think 'okay. I can either wallow in misery and self
pity/hatred for the rest of your life, or you can accept it, or also see the
positive in your life.’
Tip four-when it rains, don't run indoors. Take your time,
and savour it. But don't stay out in it too long, you'll catch a cold, and that
will make you sad.
Tip five-Have me time. (Nom I don't mean designated time for
worshipping me.:p) Take a few hours and pamper yourself. Do something you want.
Listen to music, paint your nails, draw, read, play a game. Do something that
makes you happy, but preferably that takes a bit of concentration, so it
doesn't just become monotonous. (I don't suggest TV or a movie)
Tip six-Change your thinking. If you think negatively all
the time, you will spend more and more time miserable, and you'll forget how to
be happy. Change your way of thinking-be positive. Bad times don't last
forever. Keep your head up.
Tip seven-Have a movie night. With your family, with
friends, by yourself, it's up to you. Any kind except sad. That's for the next
tip.
Tip eight-let yourself be sad. This sounds weird, but, it
works. Something bad happens, you have a terrible day, your relationship ends,
whatever. Get some ice cream and chocolate, wrap yourself in a duvet, grab the
tissues, get a horrifyingly sad book and movie, and cry. That's right, cry. Let
it all out. BUT-and here's the trick-only for the length of that movie are you
allowed to have your pity party. An hour and a half is all you have. After
that, get back to your life, face the day.
Tip nine-Keep a book full of inspirational quotes, ticket
stubs, postcards, things that remind you of happy times. Read it when you're
sad.
Tip ten-Look at pictures of kittens. Just google cute
kittens. Just-yes. No explanation needed.
Tip eleven-Be yourself. Pretending to be someone you're not
makes you miserable. Be truth to yourself, stick to your morals, and-
Tip twelve-don't change yourself for others! Unless, you
know, you're a complete asshole or something. Then you can change and try and
be a better person. But if you're trying to change to fit in, or make someone
like you-don't bother. They're obviously not worth your time anyway.
Tip thirteen-Make friends with an old person. They're so
sweet, and full of stories of their lives. They can have a lot of wisdom, and
talking to them can brighten their day too.
Tip fourteen-be kind to others, and do something nice.
Making others happy and making them smile increases your chance of happiness.
Tip fifteen-treat yourself occasionally. Don't indulge all
the time, though, or it won't feel like a treat.
Tip sixteen-surround yourself with inspirational quotes. Put
some on your wall, write them on post it notes and put them around your room,
create a board on pinterest, check back here daily.(I post a daily
inspirational quote)
Tip seventeen-enjoy life. Enjoy the little things.
Tip seventeen-Don't be overly sensitive. Sometimes we get
overly sensitive to tiny, tiny things-let them go. Sometimes, things happen.
Don't fight against everything.
Tip eighteen-If you have negative voices in your head
telling you you aren't good enough, or saying negative things, shut them up.
They are lying.
Tip nineteen-Be laid back. Don't take everything to heart or
be serious all the time. Let go sometimes.
Tip twenty-Realise that you can't control everything.
Whatever will be, will be. Your here for life, you might as well enjoy it.
And that is it! Those are tips! This was my guide to
happiness! I hope it gave you some ideas to try out!
Do you have a guide to happiness? What keeps you happy?

Match Perfection Foundation and concealer review!
Clodagh here, with a duo review for you all!
A few posts ago, I talked about a foundation and concealer I got-Rimmel Match Perfection. Here I am, to tell you-I think I'm in love.
Now, I'm a girl that doesn't love all the coverage. I like being able to see my skin. This foundation is perfect for that, as it's ridiculously lightweight, yet it has decent coverage. Also, can we just take a moment to talk about the shade range? I am the palest of the pale. Like, snowball pale. No foundation has been the right shade for me. Except this one. It is a PERFECT match for my skin, so much it doesn't look like I'm wearing anything.
It covers up my redness, but it doesn't cover the nasty spots I have at the minute. (My skin is going particularly crazy due to stress.) Enter the Match Perfection concealer. Now, the shade range of the concealer is poor, as there are only three shades, but it's the same with the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer. I know I would definitely be the lightest shade, but it wasn't available. Curious, I tested the medium shade on my wrist, and though it was slightly darker and more orange toned than the foundation, after a few seconds it had blended into my skin's natural colour. I snapped it up as well, and can I say-get this on your under eyes, stat. I haven't found anything that leaves my eyes as awake looking, with no dark circles, with so little product! Spots, well that's another story. No matter the concealer or foundation, I seem to have the spots that refuse to be covered. This does a very good job though, not caking at all, and covering them all.
On another note, the packaging of both are FABULOUS. The foundation is a plastic bottle, and it has a pump. And not a pump that's pretty much useless and pumps way too much onto your hand, either. And the concealer is a squeezable tube with the brush applicator, which I love.
Over all, I would definitely purchase both again, and I give the foundation a 9/10, and the concealer an 8/10.
Have you tried them? Did you like them? What are your best foundation and concealers?
Peace, love and cupcakes,
Clodagh xxxx

Babyliss Big Hair Review and Demo
Hey there sailors ( p.s I'm hyper as I just ate a bunch of oreos so if I start writing gibberish that's why!) today I have an interesting review for you, its interesting as its a hair product and if you read my procrastinating beauty blogger tag you know I neglect my hair. So what is it I hear you ask?....Well its my babyliss big hair! This is another product I received at Christmas (yes I was spoilt rotten) and I must say I love it!

Babyliss big hair is a rotating brush and blow dryer in one, its great for getting those salon blow drys at home without the hassle of juggling a brush and blow dryer, and it currently retails in superdrug for £44.99. As my hair is fine it works perfectly and is pretty simple to use, it takes me no more than 10 minutes to get the hair I want while it also produces more volume than I'm used to. I also have short hair(not a bob any more but not much longer) so getting my hair to turn in the way I want it is really important so I was so happy to discover this product as with the press of two buttons my hair is perfect and ready to go!. It does claim to reduce frizz, my hair is usually frizzy no matter how I dry it I do not think it reduced the frizz but I also don't think it made it any worse so it definitely wouldn't stop me from buying it. I give this product a ten out of ten I absolutely couldn't live without it now!
Tip: When drying the top layer of your hair lift the start up then dry as this creates volume and avoids any unevenness.
Warning: Always remember to use heat protection it will really help your hair in the long run.
Here is the demo!
What are your opinions on babyliss big hair? Let me know!-GM
