This or That Tag
Clodagh just did the this or that tag, I really like it, I think I might do it soon!
How To Deal With Bullies/Haters
We all get it. No matter who we are, how nice we are, or what we do. There will always be someone trying to get us down with horrid words or actions, it could be whispers behind your back, upfront insults or anonymous hate on social media, they are all horrible to receive and can make you feel very uncomfortable in yourself and could cause you to lose your self confidence.
The first thing I wanted to tackle is the question; Why do people hate? and I believe it is because of one or more of these reasons
2. Lack of Knowledge or Understanding
'
Humans are naturally scared of what they don't know, if you don't fit into what a person calls normal they may mock you and make you feel that its not ok to be yourself but always remember to stay true to you and don't feel the need to follow the crowd.
3.Gang Mentality
Have you ever noticed how people can be so nice when there by themselves but once their friends show up they turn into completely different people? In a large group people act differently because of peer pressure or simply because they think they can get away with it as there is more than just one doing it, the same goes for social media and cyber bullies, they think cause they no one can see them that its ok but its never ok.
4. To Make Themselves Feel Better
I think this is one of the main reasons why people hate on others, we all go through bad times some more than others and when were not feeling good about ourselves we strike out at others even though its not their fault.
For me personally there are four ways to prevent/deal with hate
1.Avoid-I know there is no way you can avoid hate/bullies completely however you can minimize the chance by avoiding sites where people can comment anonymously such as askfm etc..
2.Ignore-For some this is easy, some people have a naturally think skin but others like myself will find this difficult but to be honest you should ignore it they mean nothing and the hate means nothing.
3.Talk about it-Don't go through it by yourself talk to people you trust such as a close friend or relative don't let it all build up inside or it will end badly.
4.Report it- if it gets bad and lets say your still in school and have to deal with it everyday don't let them get away with it.
5.Stand up for yourself-sometimes this is all it takes for it to stop and im not saying you should sink to their level but know that sometimes telling them to f*** off is all it takes
We should all remember that we can all hate sometimes so before you say something think
is it nice?
is it constructive?
would you like it said to you?
why am I saying it?
How do you guys deal with it?
Lots of love Geraldine

What's in Clodagh's bag!
Hey guys, Clodagh here!
I have a post for all you nosey people-like me- out there.
A WHAT'S IN MY HANDBAG POST!
I know. The nosey buggers heaven.
Being someone who has the tendency to carry everything but the kitchen sink in her handbag, I tried to clear it out and these are what I found in it today! Note-my kindle is missing because it wasn't in my bag at the time!
Now, my glorious bag is from Steve Madden, I am incredibly lucky to have it-it's my baby, my pride and joy! One can never have too many handbags, but this one successfully converted me into a one handbag kind of girl. It's perfect for everything, except going out at night or if you need a really long cross-body bag! It does have a longer strap, which is the one I use.
Onto the content!
The box of tissues are not in my bag. Begone, tissues!
A pink and green bobble hat from Tesco's, to keep my ears warm and to make sure my hair doesn't go crazy!
A bottle of water-A GURL GOTTA STAY HYDRATED.
A book-This is the one I'm about to start, Charlaine Harris 'A touch of dead'-a bunch of Sookie Stackhouse short stories! I haven't read any of the True Blood books, but this'll get me started!
Gift cards from Waterstone's- I still have £3 on them! IT'LL BUY ME HALF A BOOK.
Impulse mini spray in Loving Words- It has a violet and Raspberry scent! I'm guaranteed to have one-or three-of these lying around.
Bobby pins-I always get annoyed when I have hair in my face, and I lose these things like crazy!
Jo Malone perfume in White Jasmine and Mint-easily the most luxurious thing I own, it smells divine.
HTC Sensational-My much loved, very cracked phone.
A pen-You never know when you have to write down ideas! The notebook I use is in my school bag at the minute!
IPod-Generation 3, or something very old like that. I've had it since I was thirteen, and it's still going strong, without a problem.
The clear plastic thing-My house key. That's a massive card holder or something, but it makes my key easy to find!
Last batch, guys!
WE HAVE....
MAC Craving-My favourite lipstick!
Maybelline Super Stay 14hr lipstick in 'Persistently Pink'
Rimmel Moisture renew lipstick in 'As you want Victoria'
MUA Sheerfinish lipgloss in 'Happy Days'-A clear/peach lipgloss, good to just swipe on when on the go!
Yves Rocher Noix de Coco De Malaisie, Malaysian coconut-Phew, that's a mouthful! I picked it up in Rome, and it's heavenly!
That concludes what is in my bag! I hope you enjoyed taking a mosey around the contents of it, not the most interesting of items, but I have tried to cut it down.
What's in your handbag? Any essentials I don't have?
Peace, love and cupcakes,
Clodagh xxxx

Acne Accutane and Angst-Erin's Experience
Me and Erin form beautywithbarbie got together and filmed a couple of videos together, she willing bared her skin to let you see her acne and also shared her experiences with accutane so I hope it gives you some valuable info :) -GM
A cheeky little haul!
Clodagh here, to inform you of what you already know.
Beauty bloggers are the worst enablers.
I didn't quite realise this until I was in town with friends and like the three make-up musketeers we are, we proceeded to buy all of Superdrug.
I blame them, they blame me, it's an endless cycle.
My excuse is you guys. You need to see stuff on my face and I can't use the same things all the time, right?
Right?
No?
I can feel my excuses wearing thin.
On to the haul.
I did the deed.
The dirty, make-up buying deed.
But it's okay, some of it I needed-some of it was cheap as chips-and well, I needed all those eyeshadows in my life!
NYC individual eyes Custom compact for Green eyes. This was picked up under the recommendation of my friend Erin, who is also a beauty blogger- 'beautywithbarbie.blogspot.com' -and I fell in love with that aubergine. More to come on this!
Swatches of the NYC palette, alongside Bourjois Kohl and Contour pencil in 'Prune Moderne'. A pretty purple liner that I can't wait to use a a pop of colour on my bottom lash line!
MUA Undress your skin Shimmer highlighter- My friend took this luminescent beauty out of her makeup bag, and I immediately grabbed it and knew-it would be mine. The shimmer. IT LOOKS LIKE MOONBEAM IN A PAN. And it was £3. Can you find fault? I can't.
Collection Smokey eyes palette in 'Blue.' I am determined to not be terrified of blue eyeshadow anymore. (I had a stage. It was bad. I don't want to talk about it.) The gorgeous navy's and silvers of this palette will help me get over that. I think.
Rimmel Glam eyes quad in 'Green Sapphire'. Oooooh these greens. The forest green, the moss green, the grass green. I can't wait to do a look with this! I already have one in mind.....
Rimmel Moisture Renew in 'As you want Victoria'. Surprise, surprise. Clodagh bought another berry lipstick. BUT this one is more fuchsia! Perfect for Valentine's day!
Bourjois Poudre de Riz de Java. This is one of Bourjois' original products, that was brought back for their 150th anniversary. (Can you say wow?) It's apparently a dupe for Hourglass Ambient lighting powder. It sets your foundation, but doesn't completely dull your face. I can't wait to try it!
I ran out of my beloved L'OREAL Dream Lumi foundation (sob!) and decided to be adventurous and try out a different one. I've already tried out two Revlon, three L'OREAL, a Maybelline and a Bourjois. Rimmel, I am coming for you. So I picked up the Rimmel Match Perfection foundation AND concealer, as I ran out! Can I just say this is the silkiest feeling foundation I have EVER swatched. It blended ridiculously easily, and the shade-010 Light porcelain- is a dead on match for my skin. Match Perfection indeed.
This is the companion concealer, which I decided to pick up on my quest for finding a concealer that works. There are three shades, and the lightest was sold out. So we'll see if this matches okay to my skin, but like the foundation, it's easily blended! It has the squeeze-y brush applicator that I love too.
Rimmel Wake me up Instant radiance Shimmer Touch in 002 Radiant Rose. This was another find in Poundland, and I haven't heard anything about these. I had spotted it in a shop ages ago, but didn't pick it up. I've only tried it once, and be warned-you need the TINIEST bit. Otherwise you're looking more like Coco the Clown than a lovely flush. It's perfect for school, easily blend-able and you can build it up.

Rimmel Glam eyes quad in Sun Safari- What can I say, I'm a sucker for bronzey coppery peach. Only £1 in Poundland! Get yourself down their, they have a little bit of Rimmel makeup if you dig!
Swatches of the NYC palette, alongside Bourjois Kohl and Contour pencil in 'Prune Moderne'. A pretty purple liner that I can't wait to use a a pop of colour on my bottom lash line!
MUA Baked eyeshadow trio in 'innocence'-it looks disgusting because I used it, by the way! These are a gorgeous collection of taupey browns, with amazing pigmentation for the price!
B. eyeshadow in 'Elfin'. As soon as I spied this, I heard the word 'woodwinked, woodwinked, woodwinked'! over and over in my head until I found this baby in my basket. Is it a dupe? We'll see.

L'OREAL False Lash Telescopic mascara. Please, please, please tell me this isn't the one they are discontinuing. I don't think I could handle it. I fell in love after one swipe. Goodbye, Falsies. There's a new man(mascara?) in my life. I don't even need to double up with Maybelline Rocket Volume to get volume as well as length! Next on my list-Maybelline Big Eyes mascara.
Well, there's my naughty rather big haul finished! So tell me-is there anything you'd like me to review? Anything you want specifically in a look? What have you bought recently?
My next post you'll be looking into a different sort of bag of mine....stay tuned.
P.S.-I am now VERY broke, so I don't think there will be any hauls from me for awhile!
Peace, Love and cupcakes,

Top 10 Under £10
Hey guys I'm back with my second post in my two part series dedicated to trying to help you save money. Here I'm going to tell you about my ten most favourite drugstore products and even better they are all under £10.
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
I have mentioned this product soo many times so I don't think I need to say much more this product has been a staple in my kit for along time and I am yet to find anything better, I love this product for covering up those ghastly blemishes. I also repeat that I don't recommend this for under the eyes as I find it doesn't stay in that area even with that powder.
Beauty Blender
One of the best beauty tools to be invented( yes it's that good!) it is absolutely fantastic at blending out foundation creating a flawless yet totally natural base. Another huge plus of a beauty blender is its shape makes it perfect for blending concealer under your eyes. As I understand it it beauty blenders can be expensive in the America but here in the UK I managed to obtain fine for £5.99.
I received this as a gift for Christmas and after having great experiences with real techniques face brushes( I have mixed opinions about their eye brushes) I couldn't wait to try it. And guess what? I wasn't disappointed ! It is now my new favourite even beating the buffing brush, it's just soo soft, cruelty free and just the right shape and density for applying my foundation. A must have!
Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer
These are products I don't think get enough love amongst the beauty community. The colour pay of alone if enough to sell them to me, it is absolutely amazing and the staying power is good. I just wish they have more colours. These are slightly on the sticker side so if you don't like that feeling I wouldn't recommend however I find this as an advantage as I believe a thicker consistency gives a plump and fuller look to the lips.
Maybelline Colour Tattoos
This product must definitely gets a lot of love and it's well deserved too. I think this is the best product maybelline has in fact I think it's the best product going in the drugstore. Yes it's that good! My only compliant is there are only two neutral colours my favourite being on and on bronze, but the excellent texture, colour pay of and lasting power all for under £5 makes it absolutely perfect!

Maybelline Babylips
I waited a very long time for these to come to the UK and last summer it finally happened and I'm happy to say I wasn't disappointed When I went into my locally superdrug and some them there I knew I had to have them so I picked up some of the colour versions , and may I just day the smell of these products is enough for me to fall in love with them but I will admit they are not as moisturising as I had expected but other than that I love then!

Loreal Infallible Eyeshadow Flashback Silver
This is another product I received at Christmas and although it is a very simple shade it is still delightful and the packaging and formula are excellent and I can't wait to buy more from this range .

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder
If any of you watch Tanya Burr which I'm sure you do you will no that this product works just as great at setting your face as any of the most expensive high end brands . It's cheap and simple with the only downside being the packaging though I've never had any problems with mine.

Bourjois Colourboost Lipsticks
During the summer these were my go to lipstick they were just so moisturising with a nice colour pay off and I just discovered that they have brought in more shades! Yes! Now there are autumn and winter shades I can't wait it buy so I have a feeling I'll be teaching for them all year around .
Barry M Jelly Nail Polish
The fantastic shade range, the everlasting staying power, the easy application and the low price. What's not to love? That's right nothing!
Hope you enjoyed! Geraldine.

Evil Queen From 'Once upon a Time' -Tutorial
Hey there Clodagh's new video is up, have you already seen it? Its part of our new series "Once Upon A Time Makeup Looks" so any of you who watch the TV shows might find this interesting.
5 Tips To Save Money On Cosmetics
Hey guys I come to you today bringing vital advice that no one really wants to think about but what everyone really needs to think about (did you get tongue twisted, I did). Lets face it, its no money month, the economy isn't doing great and the prices of make-up are soaring ever higher so we could all do with saving a few pennies so here I am willing to help. -GM
- Research
2. Have patience! Wait for the offers!
Superdrug and Boots are notorious for their 3 for 2 offers on cosmetics, at least every three months those signs appear on the window advertising those delicious offers and inside I feel my reserve crack and I must go in and have a look.So if your thinking of treating yourself have patience and wait till you get that tiny bit more for your money.
3. Make a List
Its so easy to do it. To get distracted by the glittering packaging and the bright lights. And its not till you get home you think " When will I ever use this?" My advise is to make yourself a nice list of the things you need and the things you really wan't to get. That way when you go into the stores you know exactly what to get and you wont waste money on stuff you don't really care about.
4. Shop Online
This is a simple one to explain, in my experience it is usually cheaper to purchase products online even with the added shipping cost, it also makes it so easy to compare the various prices in the comfort of your own home.
5. Look out for the discount codes!
This links in with shopping online as the possibility of a discount code comes in to the question. Search about on the internet and on popular YouTube videos for discount codes for the various makeup sites.
So there you are, my tips on how to keep your pennies in your pocket, hopefully I can practice what I preach! Let me know your tips below. I will also have a top products under ten pounds up on Sunday so stay tuned.

Seven deadly sins of beauty tag!
Clodagh here with a cheeky little tag today! This is my 'Seven deadly sins of beauty' tag!
GREED- What is your most inexpensive beauty item? What is your most expensive?- Hmm, my most inexpensive would probably be any of the Accessorize nail polishes, which are around £3, or the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder, which is £4! My most expensive.....hmmm. That I myself have bought? Jo Malone perfume. The most expensive thing in my collection altogether would be the Naked 2.
WRATH- What beauty product do you have a love hate relationship with?- I'd have to say either the Maybelline Baby lips. I love the colour of Cherry Me, and the scent of them, but they don't moisturise my lips that well, and for me, the pink one doesn't work for me at all. I'd also have to say the Collection 24hr felt liner in Teal. I love the colour and it works like a dream, but it does. Not. Budge. I mean it. I washed my face and eyes three times after putting it on, and it was still on my eyes the WHOLE next day, after washing again!
GLUTTONY- What are your most delicious beauty products?- Does this mean smell wise? I'd have to say my L'Occitane Passionate Jasmine hand cream. It smells divine! Or my Jo Malone perfume in White Jasmine and Mint.
SLOTH- What beauty product do you neglect due to laziness?- That would have to be primer. I'm terrible at remembering to put on primer.
PRIDE- What beauty product gives you the most confidence?- Hmmm, either a smudged eyeliner, like my Maybelline Master smokey eye pencil, or a berry lip, like MAC Craving.
LUST- What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?- Physically? Nice eyes. Being tall, good arms. A six pack doesn't hurt either. ;)
ENVY- What item would you most like to receive as a gift?- Too Faced Natural eye palette! I MUST HAVE IT.
That was my Seven deadly sins of beauty tag! What are your answers to the questions?
Peace, love and cupcakes,
Clodagh xx

Nail polishes-high street hits and misses!
Clodagh here, and today we're talking talons.
Oh yeah, you heard me.
As my friend likes to say 'kitty got claws!'
Yes she does, and she likes them to be nice!
Now, as much as I adore my Essie, and I'm aware it's available in Superdrug, sometimes you need a cheaper alternative. Having tried many-a-polish, I am here as your self-christened nail polish guru to tell you the highs and the lows of drugstore nail polishes!
Let's begin, shall we?
MAYBELLINE-
Maybelline Colour show nail polishes. They deserve a place on this list for the colour range alone. As a colour fanatic, I'm like a kid in a candy shop when I browse the Maybelline section. The pay off is good, you only need maybe two or three coats! THESE ARE A HIT!
Topshop Nails- I waited a VERY long time for these to hit my local Topshop. The rest of their makeup range isn't in

Bourjois So Laque nail polishes- Having loved other Bourjois nail polishes I'll talk about, I had high hopes. Boy was I disappointed. I found the 'So Laque' range gloopy, running, and it took FOREVER to get a decent coverage. I was very disappointed, this is definitely a miss. It's a shame, the colours are gorgeous!-MISS.
Topshop Nails- I waited a VERY long time for these to hit my local Topshop. The rest of their makeup range isn't in
my store yet. As soon as they were out, I had a mosey around, already with colours in mind, thanks to Becca Rose. I picked up a few colours, and while their shade range is average, I had to put on too many coats for this to be a quick and easy nail polish. Sadly, this is a MISS.
Accessorize nail polish- This is definitely the underdog product. I NEVER hear anyone talk about these babies, and they really should be! Around three pound a pop, the shade range is unbelievable and you only need two coats. Worth taking a look? Definitely. GET GOING! THESE ARE A HIT!
So, what are your favourite high street nail polishes? What don't you like?
DISCLAIMER-All opinions on this post are my own. They do not mean they are Geraldine's, she may like or dislike different things. :)
Peace, love and cupcakes,
Clodagh xxxx
Ahhhhh how I was excited about these. And I wasn't disappointed. I had to go to Superdrug about four times before the colour I was lusting after- blueberry- was in store, and even at that, it was the last one in store. The colour. The texture. THE THICKENESS. THE SMOOTHNESS. THE FAST DRYING. And most importantly of all for me, as I somehow manage to chip nails in the same day they're done-the staying power. I've since picked up two more of these babies, and I'm desperate to get my paws on more. Definitely a HIT.
Bourjois 1 Seconde- As soon I heard Anna from 'Viviannadoesmakeup' mention the words 'Turquoise Block' I was sold as she waved her blue-green clad fingers around. The colour. Is. Stunning. Whilst it doesn't dry in one second as the name would suggest, it is an extremely fast drying polish, which doesn't chip for at least three days. I'd also recommend the colours Blue no blues and Melon. Definitely a HIT!Accessorize nail polish- This is definitely the underdog product. Urban Decay Smoked Palette Review
Hey guys I'm back again and I must admit this post has been a struggle to get on paper(well not paper but you know what I mean) I had it all planned out in my head but I just couldn't get it started put here it is. I was always told pictures speak louder than words so we'll start with that.
The smoked palette comes with 10 colours, 4 mattes and 6 shimmer shades, the colour blackout you might recognise from the naked two palette. There are also a variety of neutrals and bright eye shadows however I noticed that the some of the brights have brown undertones but I'll comment more on that later. The palette also comes with a sample size primer potion and a full size 24/7 glide on liner in perversion( retails for £14.99 at debenhams, we got a bargain!) . The palette itself sells for £35 though I was fortunate and purchased it for 15% off. The packaging itself is beautiful inside and out, however I noticed the outside tends to get dirty pretty easy, the palette itself is opened and closed with a zip.
The smoked palette comes with 10 colours, 4 mattes and 6 shimmer shades, the colour blackout you might recognise from the naked two palette. | Kinky(matches my skin), Freestyle, Mushroom, Backdoor, Blackout, Barlust, Rockstar, Evidence, Loaded, Asphalt |
I'll start with Kinky and Freestyle as they are the basic and lets face not the most interesting colours in the palette. These colours are simple mattes, kinky is a plain white which is a perfect match for my skin tone and I use it all over my lids to cover any discolouration, freestyle is a light brown (more on the orange side of browns) which I use as a transition colour in the crease. However they are slightly chalkier and less pigmented than the quality I expect from Urban decay.
Mushroom: I have a lot to say about mushroom and I must admit I have mixed feelings (or lets say a love hate relationship with it) as in the pan it appears to be silver with slight brown undertones, I highlight the word slight because the actually colour you get from mushroom is most definitely brown as you can see from the swatch you only receive a slight silver shimmer. However the colour you do receive is still a very beautiful colour with great texture.
Backdoor and Blackout : these shades are again both matte however with much better texture than the other two. Again they are not very exciting a simple dark brown and black but they are essential for nearly every look and provide you with the options of deepening the crease and applying as liner.
Barlust: this is most definitely my favourite colour in the palette its a perfect bronze which I love to use as a sweep of colour all over the lids. Pigmentation is spectacular along with texture and I can think of a million looks to do with it. A must have!
Rockstar: this is the purple shade which you might recognise from my purple smokey eye tutorial it has great pigmentation however like mushroom it has brown undertones and as you blend it becomes more brown than purple, this might be good news for a lot of you if your not a fan of vibrant colours, I also find it useful as I don't need another colour in my crease, so I think this is an advantage rather than a minus.
Evidence and Loaded: Evidence is a deep beautiful blue that I haven't used but can't wait for the chance too, loaded is not as green as I would like it to be so I'm a little disappointed as the colour in the pan is absolutely stunning.
Asphalt: This is a beautiful silver colour again with great pigmentation and texture I love to use this on my outer v and is an essential in a smokey eye palette.
I give this palette 8/10 and I would repurchase.
Thanks for reading guys I'm sorry if I rambled on and I hope you enjoyed or learned something.
Lots of love

Egyptian Fairy Look
Hey guys its Geraldine, Clodagh has just posted another video and this time its a beautiful fairy look so I hope you enjoy!
Stress Management.
Clodagh here, to help you deal with something we all struggle with.
Stress management.
You know how it is.
You have school/work, stuff to do at home, commitments, and damnit, sleep would be nice.
You can't even fathom 'down time'.
WHAT THE HECK IS DOWN TIME?
Well, my friend, let me tell you-
Calm down. It's doable!
With my tips and tricks as to how to remain as stress free, organised and happy as possible. you'll be flying!
1.Okay- getting out in the mornings. If you're like me, you need at least eight hours of sleep or someone will get snapped at. And you AREN'T a morning person. My advice? Lay everything out the night before. Have your bag packed, your lunch made, your clothes out, and your makeup on the counter/in a drawer. Also-have snacks like granola bars and fruit in the house, you don't know when you'll oversleep! This gives you loads of time to sleep in, and don't bother with loads of makeup or anything in the morning! It's only school or work. Look presentable, and save your beautifulness for when you're going out!

You if you get more sleep!
2.KEEP A DIARY. I would be sunk if I didn't have something to write down what I had to do for the day! I have one for school, one for beauty blogging stuff, one for fitness, and one for general use! Write lists of what you have to do that day-even if it's silly things, like walk the dog, or eat dinner- and tick them off as you go. By the end of the day you'll feel so accomplished, and you won't have forgotten anything, so no last minute mishaps for you, my friend!
3. Organise your room. Now, this one is difficult for me because mine is always a tip (I'M MOVING, LEAVE ME ALONE) but a tidy room that is pretty much empty of clutter is what I aim for! Tidy neat room=space to think and chill!
4.Exercise. Now, this one doesn't SOUND fun, but hold on now! Exercise releases chemicals which makes you happy! Even if it's walking your dog, zumba, or just dancing like an idiot to some music, it'll release stress and make you feel happier!
5. RELAX! Don't worry too much. Coming from someone who had anxiety- believe me, what you're stressing about? It really isn't that bad! It's nothing that can't be dealt with. Work hard, stay on time, and accept that things are going to go wrong. If things didn't ever go wrong, we wouldn't know how to handle situations! If you lose your cool, it'll all blow up in your face, and you won't get anything done. So give yourself two minutes to freak out, cry, and feel sorry for yourself. Take five to figure out how to get out of that mess!
6.Don't be afraid to talk! If you're stuck, or just need someone to rant to, there are plenty of people willing to listen. You'll find if you talk about the problem, it might not seem so bad after all. And who knows? Maybe your friend has a solution!
7.Me time. This is a crucial step. There comes a point when you have to say-no. No more. It can wait. There is nothing that cannot wait. If you're at the stage when you're so confused and befuddled you can't think or see straight-sit back. Leave whatever is bugging you. And relax. Have you time. Take a bath, read a magazine, read a book, paint your nails, mindlessly watch T.V. (May I suggest Once Upon a Time?), watch a movie (Safe Haven was really good!) Whatever YOU like!
These are my steps for Stress Management!
I also have Clodagh's guide to happiness coming up at some point!
How do you manage stress?
Peace, love and cupcakes!

Procrastinating Beauty Blogger Tag
Hey there guys today I was reading some blog posts and I came across From Head To Toes post- Procrastinating Beauty Blogger Tag and thought that suits me so much so I had to do it!
1. Name a beauty regimen that you rarely do?
I'm glad to say that most regimens I do the only thing I'm guilty of is not using lipliner and primer.

2. Is washing your make-up brushes something that you do regularly?
NO! I hate washing my makeup brushes its something I try to avoid for as long as possible. I try to wash them at least three times a month.
3. How long will you last with chipped nail polish?
Not long at all! My OCD will kick in and I just cant leave them like that Ill either repaint or remove immediately
4. How long will you put off buying/replacing a beauty product, even if you need it?
Buying makeup products is not something I take time with, if you've read my beauty resolutions for 2014 you will see I need to stop spending my pennies.
5. What is your worst beauty habit?
Neglecting my hair simple as that.
6. Name something non-beauty related that you put off doing all the time?
School work ofcourse! Anything such as homework, projects and revision for exams are a struggle to start.
7. When going out somewhere, do you leave getting ready to the last minute?
No, I will be honest and tell you it usually takes me 2 hours to get ready and even when I start three hours hourly I still manage to be late.
8. Can you commit to spending bans?
I've just started my first spending ban so I will keep you posted.
9. How organized are your make-up and nail polish collections?
Not very! All my makeup is crammed into on train case which is now bursting and I struggle to get it closed, however I'm happy to say that my nail polish is nicely laid out in a drawer in my bedroom.

L'OREAL Shine Caresse Lips Review
Clodagh here, to talk lipstains.
Last year, there were whispers that L'OREAL were bringing out dupes for the YSL Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Lip Stain. They were to be called Shine caresse lips, and they were to be amazing.
Until they weren't.
As I eagerly scoured Boots, I was disappointed to find nothing more than a few dodgy looking purples, some peaches that would never suit me, and one or two that looked decent. Undeterred by the appalling shade range, I picked up a pretty pink colour, 102 'Romy'. Happy enough, I went home and eventually tried it out.
While the colour was pretty enough, I had to apply four layers of it for anything to actually show up. Also, its consistency didn't feel nice, and the product left my lips dry and sore, something which had never happened with any other product. Over all- I wasn't impressed at all. The colour was one of the best things about it, but at that, it was the sort of colour I could get in other products for a lot nicer quality. The applicator was brilliant, I'll give it that. It moulded to the lips perfectly, but I can't give it a good review.
If you're looking for a good lip stain, I would recommend the Rimmel Appocalips.
So, tell me-did you like the L'OREAL lip stains? Would there be any you recommend?
Peace, love and cupcakes,

Battle of the Foundations-Revlon Colourstay vs Bourjois Healthy Mix
Revlon Colourstay vs Bourjois Healthy Mix
Round One-Price
Revlon Colourstay currently Bourjois Healthy Mix Currently
retails for £12.49 retails for £9.99
(boots online) (boots online)
Healthy Mix Wins!
Round Two-Shade Range
Revlon Colourstay comes in 20 different shades with a mix of cool warm and neutral undertones so your sure to find something for everyone. As a girl with pale skin I find it extremely difficult to find a shade to match but with Revlon Colourstay its so easy with the lightest shade been even to pale for me which I didn't think that was possible! It also comes in two different formulas for dry and oily skin so I think it deserves bonus points.
Shade range is a huge let down for the healthy mix foundation with it only having 5 or 6 shades, I can not find a foundation that matches me perfectly and all are warm toned.
Round Three-Packaging
This ones easy as my only packaging requirement in a foundation I want is a pump but sadly revlon colourstay lets me down, unlike healthy mix, otherwise both foundations have nice glass packaging.
Round Four-Staying power
This is easy as it is simply a matter of fact revlon colourstay stays on all day and I mean all day without fail, the healthy mix has an ok staying power but you will find yourself needing to touch up by mid day.
Colourstay Wins!Round Five- Coverage, texture, finish
Here it is the big one the one that really matters, and the truth is they are both excellent and in the end it really comes down to preference, healthy mix gives a medium coverage with a definite dewy finish perfect for those with dry skin or spring summer looks . Revlon colourstay gives a matte finish and a very full coverage, the thought of a matte finish might scare those with dry skin but with the two different formulas there is nothing to be worried about. However my personal favourite is the healthy mix as it feels so light on my face whilst the revlon colourstay can feel like a little too much.
Healthy Mix Wins!
So putting all those rounds together my favourite foundation is ....Healthy Mix!
Do you disagree? Let me know below.

Products I've Used Up-Empties
Hey guys its Geraldine back again, this time with the products I've used up(empties). So lets get started!
1. Clean and Clear Dual Action Moisturiser (£2.98 boots online(subject to change))
This is a sworn favourite of mine which I have repurchased time and time again. It claims to moisturise the skin whilst also preventing spots and I must say it absolutely does. Before this product my other moisturiser were great at keeping my skin hydrated but they wouldn't stop those ghastly breakouts around my chin and forehead and now that I have found this product I need not look no further as my skin is now moisturised and spot free! It is also oil free which makes it great for those with oily skin. 10/10
2. Clean and Clear morning energy skin brightening daily facial scrub (£2.39 boots online (subject to change)
This is simply a ex-foliating gel which I like to use once a week just to remove those worn out skin cells. There is nothing great about this that makes it better than any other except maybe the fruity lemon smell. I do find that it leaves my skin a little dry afterwards but this doesn't bother me as I simply apply my dual action moisturiser. 8/10
3. Pantene strength and shine shampoo for coloured hair
Ever since I dyed my hair (yep I'm not a natural blonde sorry!) I have been using this shampoo I feel that it leaves my hair feeling fresh and smooth and as I have extremely fine hair its important that my shampoo is light and doesn't weigh it down. I use it along with my pantene conditioner for coloured hair. I'm only giving it a 7/10 as there are better smelling shampoos out there.
4.Bourjois Volumizer Mascara 2 Steps
This is a product I wont be repurchasing, not because I didn't like it but simply because their are better mascaras out there for the same or less amount of money. However I must say that it did lengthen and volumise my eyelashes quite well and it did everything it claimed to do, but I will stick to maybelline mascara in the future. 6/10
5. Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
I love this concealer for covering up those blemishes we don't want anyone to see. It is a cult favourite of many beauty gurus out there, I will definitely be repurchasing soon. However I musts say that it can be quite drying and I am still searching for a better concealer for the under eye area, if you have any suggestions please tell me below. 8/10
